When you go to Vegas, what is usually the first thing that you think about?  Well – for me, it is usually the strip, however have you ever ventured off of the strip and seen life outside of the Vegas strip?  I have and I have to tell you that it is absolutely beautiful.  Las Vegas is the place for nightlife, but I have to tell you that if you are looking for some outdoor activities, this is the place for you.

The first place that you should visit is the Hoover Dam.  It is absolutely beautiful and certainly the top attraction … even if you do not like dams all that much.  It is a little more than a half hour from the strip and the tour is actually … awesome.

On the way to the Hoover Dam, you can actually stop by and check out things like Boulder City’s State Railroad Museum as well as the Hemenway Valley Park.
